The Team

Jordan Wapass, MPP, CAFM

Jordan is the Principal Consultant for Cree8ive Advisory. Cree8ive is a 100% Indigenous owned boutique consulting firm specializing in strategic communication, research, capacity building and human centered design. We work with Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations in the private and public sector across Canada.

Jordan is Cree and a member of Thunderchild First Nation in Saskatchewan. He has completed a Masters Degree from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and in 2015 he was named one of the University's Top 50 most inspiring graduate students of the last 50 years.

He is a knowledgable Indigenous executive with over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector, including work with the Province of BC and Ottawa based think tank, the Conference Board of Canada. Jordan has led, in senior roles as Director of Operations and Executive Director, First Nations governments located in Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec.

Recently, he has earned his Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) designation through AFOA Canada and is currently pursuing his Executive MBA through SFU.

He finds the most joy in this world creating moments with his son, Cash.

Success

Jordan has managed and contributed to successful multi-million dollar economic development projects in Saskatchewan. He has played a key role in advancing innovation and pursuing "outside the box" thinking in his leadership roles. Most recently, he led a team as a $250,000 Top 5 National Finalist in Canada's Smart Cities Challenge. He contributes as an expert review panelist for the Federal Government. He is currently the Chair of AFOA Canada's Communication and Marketing Advisory Committee.

Moving Forward

Jordan has shifted his focus to working with Indigenous communities and organizations in the areas of innovation, self-determination, governance, capacity building and design thinking.

Let's find time to chat about Cree8ive's mantra:

"We fill capacity gaps in organizations."
